"I came here a broken man, but the Lord has pieced me back together with a lot of help from some really good people. I am a new person in Christ…I am excited about my future!"
Future Story is a social enterprise job training program made up primarily of past residents and clients. This program instills hope and self-confidence in women who want to improve their economic situation. It also provides women in poverty who might have barriers to regular employment, a way to create an income by selling the items they make at the Future Story Training Shop. The participants learn basic business skills such as tracking and managing inventories, customer relations and marketing concepts along with skill development in design and sewing.
Located inside Hartville Marketplace, the Future Story Training Shop sells a variety of items such as aprons for adults and children, coaster sets, walker totes, appliance covers, grocery bag carriers, heating pads, pillowcases, wheelchair totes, Lydia’s Purse totes, jewelry and beaded bookmarks. These items are made by the women who participate in Future Story
