Holiday Heart Song “Virtual” Vocal Benefit Contest 2020

SHARE YOUR LOVE & OPEN YOUR HEARTS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
If you love to sing, then share your love with others! Stage Door Studios and Haven of Rest Ministries partner to bring you this festive holiday ‘virtual’ event! You can perform a solo, duet or ensemble! Record the song and after filling out the application online at www.stagedoorstudios.org you will be sent information on how to upload your videos. Click on the heading “Holiday Vocal Contest” at the top. Please call Debbie Cardy 330-526-8066 if you have questions.
The winner will get to record an original holiday song arrangement in a professional recording studio!
WHO: Open to all ages
COST: $25 fee per song entry
DEADLINE: November 23, 2020
WHAT TO DO:
- Submit a song of your choosing— at least 1 minute in length
- May perform a solo, duet or ensemble—no more than 1 entry per category
- Top 10 entries will be given an original song arrangement (by Hal Wright) to learn for a “Sing Off”.
WHAT YOU GET:
- The winner gets to record the “Sing Off” song in a professional recording studio & we hope to get some radio airplay to promote further donation.
- Constructive comments from our panel of outstanding music professionals
- The joy of knowing you used your musical gift to help someone!!!

All proceeds from this contest will be donated to Harvest Home (women and children’s shelter) at Haven of Rest Ministries, Akron, Ohio. Sponsored by Stage Door Studios.
CONTEST SCHEDULE:
November 23 – Deadline for initial song submission – due by midnight
November 28 – Announce Top 10 – Contestants will be given one week to learn & record the “Sing Off” Song
December 6 – “Sing Off” Song Video submissions – due by midnight
December 11 – “Sing Off” and Winner Announced – 7:00pm – ONLINE
December 12 – Contest Winner – Record Song in Professional Studio
December 15 – Song recording ready to share with winner and potential radio stations
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1). This entry is by someone 18 years or older or with permission of parent.
Parent’s name must be included on the entry form if under 18 in order to be valid.
2). I will not use any profanity or negative language in any of the video submissions for this contest.
3). I will enter only 1 time per category: solo, duet, ensemble – with one entry fee per category.
4). I will consent to allow Stage Door Studios & Haven of Rest Ministries, to the use, publication, broadcast, telecast, distribution and circulation of my name, photograph, video recording, audio recording, image and /or likeness for recruiting, promotional, advertising and commercial purposes. This shall include, but not be limited to, web- site, social media, radio, advertisements, flyers, newsletters and brochures before, during and after the contest.
5). I understand that the winner of the contest will be granted permission to record the song, given to learn as a finalist, and they will receive a personal copy of the recording but the song arrangement & background track will not be owned by the contest winner.
