Haven of Rest Luncheons & Dinners – 2020 Theme: Hope & A Future
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans for peace and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Good meals, smiles, conversations, and God’s presence amongst friends are what attendees enjoy at the yearly dinner and luncheon get-togethers. Already this year, Haven of Rest Ministries had the Tuesday March dinner where over 425 people attended.
Some of the excitement at the event included a Residential and staff choir directed by Jennifer Hugg, Executive Administrative Assistant, speaking and prayer led by Curt Thomas III, Director of Operations, and a video of the Mission’s history as well as a video of testimonies. Other speakers include Rev. Kaiser, CEO, Mike Kura, President of the Board, and Rev. Ben Walker, Executive Director – Retired. This worthwhile event was not only moving, but informative, enjoyable, spiritual, and encouraging.
You will NOT want to miss the next dinner on Tuesday, July 14 at Guy’s Party Center at 6:30 p.m. (our new dining location for this year). Two more follow after that in October. A luncheon will take place at the Hudson Lake Forest Country Club on Thursday, October 8 at 11:30 a.m. A dinner will take place at Walnut Creek Carlisle Inn on Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m.
