Haven of Rest’s Special Event – Hartville Kitchen Restaurant and Bakery Dinner
THANK YOU to everyone who made this year’s Hartville Kitchen Dinner fundraiser a success as we tried something new! We were able to serve people through the walk-in carry-out and drive-thru pick-up with the help of staff and volunteers. Guests signed up online or called the Mission for more information.
We want to also thank Hartville Kitchen for their generous work and serving such good food. The meal was chicken, baked potato, green beans, side salad, bun with butter, and a piece of pie. Hartville Kitchen staff put together the to-go plates while Haven of Rest assisted in bagging and handing them out.
Rev. Jeff Kaiser, Rev. Ben Walker, Mike Kura, and staff were on hand to speak to guests, answer questions, and also help assemble and hand out the bags of food. Over 170 meals were prepared and sold. It was an enjoyable time and supportive event for the Mission.
Haven of Rest’s next dinner will be served at Guy’s Party Center on Tuesday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m. They are located on 500 E. Waterloo Rd., Akron, OH 44319. Registration is open now! Register online by visiting the ‘Events’ page at www.havenofrest.org or call the mission at 330-535-1563. There is no cost to attend, however, reservations are required. (Guests must be 18 years of age or older.)
CDC guidelines will be practiced during this special event as well. The current requirements will be posted. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you there!
